Business Requirement

During the course of business many documents are received/generated which are required to be accessed as and when required. Traditionally these documents are filed and whenever required the documents are retrieved from the filing location. This is time consuming and the retrieval becomes difficult.

Alternatively, the documents are stored on computer systems as a file if they are available in digital format OR if they are scanned manually. Here too it requires some effort to find the file as the file name and location should be known.

Solution

The document linking add-on for Tally Software makes the retrieval task very easy. A document link can be set for transactions, Ledger Masters, Item Masters, Employee Masters. Whenever an attached document is required to be accessed, the user simply open the voucher, day book or master and selects the required document. On clicking / selecting the link, the document is immediately opened on the computer.
